March 29 – March is known for being a windy month and it is living up to that billing now. Monday’s top wind gust at BWI was 48 mph, but some places did get over 50 mph. Today’s winds are less intense, but strong enough for restrictions on area bridges. But as the winds subside, the next two nights and following mornings will allow temperatures to drop below freezing. Then the winds will swing to the warmer southerly direction boosting temps back up briefly Thursday. This will be followed by some thunderstorms and a much colder weekend. Yes, there will be snow nearby, but at this point only a chance of flurries takes us through Orioles Opening Day.
