Thursday March 24 – If Spring Fever has not hit yet, it may today. In fact could we make a run for 80°F? Yesterday, BWI hit 75°F, and the warm winds will increase this afternoon helping to boost our temperatures even higher. We often end up warmer than first expected with these spring warm ups… and are on the up side of a blizzard that is slamming the northern plains today. Extreme weather is nothing new to March. In fact in 1990, Baltimore hit a record high of 86°F on the 12th and 85°F on the 13th… but this date the 24th that year brought a record of 1.2″ snow. Well, our snow fell last weekend and didn’t add up to much. So now we ride the swing.
Showers and storms will arrive with a cold front, but this has slowed down and should hold off until Friday morning. Then we cool down this weekend, but closer to average. The good news is that Easter Sunday should remain dry as the next rain maker will hold off until Monday.
Afternoon Temperatures:
We could get close to 80F
Strong Winds:
Cold Front: Rain Friday Morning
Next Rain Maker- AFTER Easter
