February 9 – There is light snow still falling around the Maryland and Pennsylvania line. Another batch of moisture in southern Maryland has rain mixing over to snow. Only a coating up to a local 1 inch in spots possible, but the main issue will be the temperatures. This is a quick look at the expected temperature drop overnight. But after the set up this morning with snow melting on contact, why should you believe this? Well, this morning there was a wind off of the Chesapeake that had a warming effect. Now the wind has shifted to the west, and the colder air will win.
Note: Some have dropped back below freezing already in northern Maryland and southern PA. Here’s a look at when temps will fall.
Where it is wet from melting snow or current snow, thing might ice up. I would expect in the snow zones there will be a better chance for a slick start and school delays.

More Cold!
Yes, it will be brutally cold this weekend. The coldest of the year, and perhaps matching the coldest of last year. I wanted to save that for it’s own post… So please check back for that shortly.
