January 6 2016- We are starting our second morning in the teens, but this is where the rise begins. The light wind will make it feel more tolerable this morning and then we will warm up towards the weekend. The next storm will bring mostly rain. I know I mentioned this event last week and did not want to get into details as I did not trust how the models were treating it. I stand by that as originally this brought an inch mix to start, and the track is still subject to change. Below are two timelines showing the difference in timing and track between the GFS and Canadian Model. However the similarity is that the cold air will follow and is likely to bring in another round of flurries and snow showers Monday. Sorry teachers and kids, no days off yet.
First the Temperatures…. The warm up shown here for Sunday all depends on the track of the storm. We will reach the 50s at least…
GFS Model:
This tracks the storm farther west
Canadian Model:
This tracks the Low over Central Maryland and is later in the weekend
