Screen Shot2015-12-28 06_15_14This new storm on the way is showing a little hint of the season with colder air to work with in Pennsylvania. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for the rain to start as sleet in the mountains to our north. We will once again be on the warm side of the storm, but the pattern is changing. This map might signal a winter reset. Just like Ravens fans after the win agains the Steelers on Sunday, we might want to consider the season starting now and all will be fine.  But we do have some rain to deal with, even in the advisory area. Then the entire pattern turns colder. Think of it this way: This past weekend we had record high temps, but the weekend before we had a dusting of snow.  It will be colder New Year’s Eve, and next weekend may bring us more flurries… then stay cold through much of January.

Temperature Outlook:

After one more warm day, temps will crash back to where they should be as we head into New Year’s Eve and January. Establishing the cold air is the first step before we can talk snow. But snow flurries are possible next weekend.
