Winter is here but it feels like spring. The next few days leading up to Christmas will feature plenty of rain, but also a strong surge of warm air that may will obliterate one record high temperature, but possibly set two. The reason is this El Nino pattern and a slow moving storm, that starts with rain this morning, and should depart this afternoon. The warm moist air will bringing fog tonight, then another round of rain Wednesday morning. The amount of heat will depend on the breaks within the rain, that could continue into the weekend.

Record Heat:
The Christmas Eve record high in Baltimore is 65F set in 1990. The forecast for mid 70s will obliterate it! Since records in December tend to come in pairs, the mark of 69F set on Dec 23 also in 1990 is also in jeopardy.
