The air is already warm this Friday morning. We are watching the thermometer at Baltimore’s BWI for 77F as the mark of the record high temperature. That should be tied or broken today as winds shift and help to break up the morning fog and clouds. Only Wicomico County had a school fog delay as of this post. Today’s wind is more of a push than we had yesterday, and all we need is a little boost since the 6 AM temp was 63F. That’s already warmer than a normal November 6 afternoon. So, we still have a chance to hit 80F. But a cold front will bring an end to that when it arrives this evening, and will slow down for the start of the weekend as colder air spills in.
Thunderstorms are possible as the front arrives this evening. Another wave of Low Pressure will form on this front, which will slow it down and keep rain around Saturday. I’ve broken this down to two sliders below. Plan for a wet start to the weekend, and the rain will linger into the afternoon east of the Bay an southern Maryland. Sunday will be much cooler, and breezy. I will have a closer look at the 10K Across The Bay in my next post.
