Following the leading edge of rain from the south, here is a quick look at the radar simulation from the HRRR Model. It looks like the first drops reach Washington around noon, but will take a few hours to reach Baltimore. The leading edge will break off and dissipate, so what arrives should not be much more than a nuisance. But the main rain shield will follow this evening and tonight.

Reminder: The bulk of the steady, heavy rain will fall Wednesday. Primarily in the morning, then storms may develop in the afternoon and evening. I will follow up with more details on any risk for severe weather or flooding. Also see this morning’s post showing 1 to 3 inches of rain possible.
