As expected, the cold air tonight will infiltrate farther south and deeper into Maryland. The I-95 corridor, including Baltimore City, Annapolis, and Washington are included in the Frost Advisory. While temperatures may stay above freezing here, the ground gets colder than the air which is measured at 5 to 6 ft high. Farther inland, away from the Chesapeake Bay temperatures are likely to drop to 32F or below. This is the Freeze Warning region where vegetation will freeze, cutting off the growing season. If you have not protected the plants, you still should consider disconnecting your garden hoses.
