I love photographers who capture weather. They help tell the story, and the very talented can freeze a moment in time with perfection, that is likely to never be repeated. If you have read my articles or followed me online then you know how much I appreciate these people and love to share/show off their work. What I love more is when a photographer gets really excited about their photo. That is what Lori Martin said when she captured this wave crashing on Ocean City today, October 5th. This is after the rain departed flooding subsided, and Hurricane Joaquin was deep in the central Atlantic. Check this out, as the weather improved, but the waves were still roaring! See how you can get prints, and compare to other great photos showing the power and beauty of the water.
Lori Martin said, “One of the most beautiful waves I’ve ever photographed. Amazing waves in OC this afternoon!”
High Tide At The Ocean City Inlet, Monday Afternoon October 5
Lori has a store on Etsy where you can purchase her favorite wave, and see many others. She takes incredible weather and wildlife pictures. There is an exceptional number of bird photos you might enjoy. You can also follow for more on her Facebook page. But also, see these other top pics from this weekend you may have missed in my prior reports. At the bottom of this post, I was reminded of one of my favorite wave photos and wanted to add it to the group. That one was not taken on our shore, but in Florida a few years ago.

This last photo was taken by local Kevin Novak, but it was at Panama City Beach, FL. It was June, 2013 ahead of Tropical Storm Andrea. Notice the perfect mow hawk sea spray over the crest of the wave.
