ADKFallAs we enter the first weekend of fall, the weather will bring us our first seasonal coastal storm. While wet and windy, it will also be a cool in the 60s. This will help the next phase of trees to start turning. Another 4 to 6 weeks will bring peak foliage to the Mid Atlantic, but up north the first visible color is evident. That is where the most picturesque scenes tend to be. Along lake shores, tall mountains, and steep valleys that capture the dimming sunlight on an array of colorful leaves.

I spent many summers going to camp in the Adirondacks, four years in central New York at Cornell in Ithaca, and a few more working in Syracuse and Binghamton. That is why when my friend sent me this ADK time lapse video, shot in northern New York, I was compelled to watch and now share. As Donna told me, take a moment to relax and watch 🙂

Mark Deff spanned coverage from Saranac Lake (like the beer) to Lake George, home of two Winter Olympic Games.
