The heavy rain today seemed to prove itself along the similar lines of the prior event on Thursday. There were intense bands, some severe storms, some flooding, and much of it pushed in and now on the way out sooner than expected. This radar image from 3:40 PM show the back edge east of Baltimore, ending the Orioles rain delay. They have a new start time of 4:05 PM.
Still heavy rain is falling along the Chesapeake, northeastern Maryland, and Pennsylvania east of I-83. The bulk of the rain will continue to move east. However, the front looks like it will stall, lingering the rain on the southern Delmarva tonight. Along the back end of this boundary, there might be enough upper level energy to bring back another push of showers west of the Chesapeake early Sunday morning. So runners might have to deal, then the wind picks up as the temperatures drop.

The big story behind the storm will be the autumn preview. Temperatures will struggle to reach the 70s on Sunday and drop into the 40s inland from the city/bay Monday morning. But a warming trend will return next week.
