One last day of summer heat, and this will be less comfortable. Relief is on the way in the form of showers and storms, but that will arrive later this evening and tonight. We could use the rain as well for the parched ground, even though our water supply is just fine. We start the day with the dew point in Baltimore at 6 AM of 72F. Compare that to yesterday when it was 66F. If we just extrapolate that and compare to similar numbers this is heat index:
- Noon Tuesday: Felt like 89F
- Noon today: 93F (would feel like)
But today’s temperatures (maps below) are forecast to be a little higher as well. Tuesday’s high was 93F, but today could push 95F. Note: Baltimore County Public Schools have 52 buildings without air conditioning and cancelled classes 2 hours early on Tuesday. So with this in mind, we might have another announcement today.
