This is just a quick update based on the stuffy air again near 90F about to break with the arrival of a back door cold front. There have been a few showers and thunderstorms popping up already, but the question about this evening prevails. Will it affect your travel for the Labor Day holiday weekend or happy hour plans? I am only showing one model here, the short range, high resolution HRRR. Most of the action so far is west in the mountains. One thing that stands out is the focus on the north side, but also a flare up this evening just on the east side of Baltimore. Check out the time frame below between 6 and 9  pm. The energy pushing into Cecil County from northern Delaware seems to fade, then regenerate in the same area that has been hit so hard this summer with numerous events.  I can’t promise precision, but the idea of eastern Baltimore and western Harford County getting this strong storm is what stands out.

Please uses this just as guidance, not gospel. Most action stays in northern MD and southern PA, and thew mountains. We still can’t ignore the bay areas for other showers, but the chances do drop off south of the city.
