Screen Shot2015-08-23 09_24_25Let’s be real for a moment. Whether you have kids or are involved in education or not, schools are back in session. Even those that did not start are likely to begin this week. I personally am still stuck in the notion that Labor Day should fall before the first day of school, but my kids are going back to classes and doing that in heat just isn’t a good fit. So the outlook of cooler weather is welcome, but summer is not done!  This week, one day of heat, will gal on Monday. Temps should push into the 90s, and storms are expected in the afternoon. That is the trailing and weakening front connected to a larger storm in Canada. That will be the source of our air to follow, keeping temperatures just below average for the rest of the week.

Quite a contrast from the east coast 90s to the northern Great Lakes where 70s and even 60s will prevail. That will modify when it slides east, but will be the reason our weather will be quiet and comfortable during the week. But before that arrives, there will be a chance of storms Monday afternoon. Below is the simulated radar showing the timeline and likely development.
