The radar is active this morning with rain across central Maryland, but the main are of Low Pressure is still out in IL. That will move across on Tuesday. There are bands of rain forecast to move through this morning, tomorrow morning, and some moderate rain in between. Below are the radar simulations for each day.
It appears we may get lucky. Maybe?
I can’t help but draw attention to our Trek Day 2 between Cumberland and Hancock because my team is out here and rain is as bad as the heat. We had the heat Sunday, and if you look at my vital stats… I ended up burning over 7,000 calories and lost 5 lbs despite drinking a lot. (see more of the Day 1 recap). We just missed rain in Cumberland less than an hour before we arrived Sunday. Could it happen again? I’ve highlighted our next two trek days, which you can track along live while you are bored on your computer behind a desk or at the beach ;-). The showers today hopefully will stay east. Most of the rain will fall overnight. And… If we are lucky, east of us Tuesday. Central and southern Maryland will have the rain though.

Rain falling overnight appears to be the most widespread…
