Screen Shot2015-08-08 08_49_52That storm off of the Mid Atlantic coast is far enough away to keep the rain away, but the wind and waves are still chewing away at the beaches. There have been numerous photos this week showing the cliff in the sand in Ocean City, which is a sigh of the rip currents you might experience off shore. Quick note: I will be with my team trekking across Maryland for Cool Kids Campaign over this week Aug 9-15. We will start Sunday on the summit of Wisp and finish at the Inlet in Ocean City between 3-4 PM next Saturday. I will do my best to keep wether updates each day along with the purpose of my trek.   ASSATEAGUE...VIRGINIA BEACH AND THE NORTHERN OUTER BANKS OF
  CURRITUCK COUNTY.

* WAVES AND SURF...DANGEROUS SHOREBREAK OF 4 FEET OR GREATER CAN
  CAUSE NECK AND SPINAL INJURIES...AFFECTING EVEN THE MOST ABLE
  SWIMMERS. SHOREBREAK OCCURS WHEN WAVES BREAK DIRECTLY ON THE
  BEACH POTENTIALLY CAUSING NECK AND HEAD INJURIES.
