We wake up this morning still in the steam bath with 70s dominant, but already 80s in downtown Baltimore and Washington before 7 AM. Three days in a row qualifies a heat wave, and thankfully that is where it will end. Despite the temps this morning, there is some rain to our west as well. Two cold fronts will cross the area. The first will bring showers this morning as stronger storms pass near and south of Washington. That will possibly hold out temps down for the afternoon. But the second front will arrive this evening, and that is when the heat and humidity will drop.  Here is a quick  look at two different model outlooks for today’s rain simulation. The temperature outlook at the bottom of this post you can see the break from the heat with a nice stretch of cooler and dry weather for the end of the week.
