Screen Shot2015-07-11 08_22_42The rain we expected overnight arrived and some of your work up with it this morning. This is all part of the plan, and many in central Maryland including around Annapolis will see a rapid improvement of clearing this morning. In fact with sunshine and low humidity it will be spectacular weather after noon. Besides, it is 7-11 Day! A free Slurpee between 11 am and 7 pm, so you have to smile!

But the track of this little system will keep the clouds and some rain on a path through southeast Virginia much of the day.  This includes Virginia Beach and North Carolina OBX. As for southern Maryland and Ocean City, it still looks like a morning thing with an improvement this afternoon.  Sunday and Monday look good, as the next round of rain will arrive Monday night into the middle of the work week ahead.  Below is a quick look at the hourly radar simulation showing the set up today. Then a look at the temperatures show some signs of the heat we’ve been missing this summer trying to fight back. But first, I just want to add this reminder:

Be part of my second 321 mile hiking and biking trek across Maryland this August.
