Screen Shot2015-06-27 21_29_50As if we didn’t get enough rain all day, especially with the afternoon burst, the storm is not done. It was deceiving to many as the sky brightened and the rain ended. Some even complained on social media that the Orioles canceled their game too soon. Have you seen the flooding?  I wanted to write about that and show the incredible photos, but this is more important for those already under water or on the verge of flooding.  Rain has returned and the wide view surface map analysis shows the Low Pressure in Ohio still has the trailing cold front to our west. This has to swing through and it will do so after midnight with one last burst of rain. Below is a quick look at the HRRR model simulated radar showing this between 1 and 3 AM, then departing Cecil County just before sunrise.  That’s good news for the Baltimore Women’s Classic race Sunday morning, but there will be big puddles and mud around.

Radar Loop:

This one hour loop between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM shows rain between Washington and Baltimore not identified by the simulation below. Basically there is even more rain than the model is seeing.
