Screen Shot2015-06-25 17_07_00The system on the move this evening will bring us rain, perhaps some thunder overnight across central Maryland. But the heat and energy were to our south today. St. Mary’s County and eastern Virginia are in the watch box for storms that could reach severe levels. That includes damaging wind, large hail, and isolated tornadoes. There will be moderate rain and some thunder in parts of metro Washington, Annapolis, and Delmarva. In places were heavier bands or cells pass, between 1 to 3 inches possible. Check out the simulated radar below. The timeline highlights that circulation stalling the rain band around the mid portion of the Bay well past midnight. Much more rain much more widespread still on the way Saturday. Yup, that still looks like a soaker.
